They're far more likely to discontinue the system than attempt to save it via removing the gamepad from console bundles. Even Microsoft at this point knows when to admit when customers just aren't interested in an aspect of its product.

At this point, I don't think the dead pulp is even worth beating.
The next person that replies to me with, "I know, right?" to me will be answered with, "No, you're wrong."

i can't afford it though and if they made the system with the pro controller it would be cheaper

mario cart bundle = 330. 330 - 30 (wii mote) - 100 (gamepad) - 60 (mario cart 8) - 30 (digital game) + 40 (pro controller) = 150

then they sell for 200 and make 33% money back

Your math is way off. Removing the gamepad in the end would take somewhere around $20-40 off the system price as it don't cost as much as you people think to make. So you would be looking at Wii U black system at $260 with no game or gamepad... Yup huge savings...
Software doesn't really add much to the price as Nintendo made it themselves so they don't have to pay a 3rd party. My guess is it only adds like $15 to the console if anything. Taking it away wouldn't knock $60 off

If you are too poor go buy a damn refurbished one for $200 from Nintendo that has a 1yr warranty, and the gamepad...
