Killzone: Shadow Fall currently delivers a largely 25-30FPS experience with v-sync engaged

With regards to performance, we're surprised to find DriveClub is running at 30fps

All the bits and pieces that whip around Knack indeed feel like individual objects, taking advantage of the game's per-object motion blur. The only problem here is that, despite being a 30fps game in target, we see dramatic frame-rate drops when too many of these pieces go zooming across the screen to form a shell around Knack.

Thief

When it comes to performance, the game is v-synced, but very jittery in the frame-rate stakes for transitions into new areas, and throughout an entire sequence where a bridge burns to cinders. It also appears to run at native 1080p, though there's little being achieved here visually which we haven't already seen before

RAAAAAAAAAGE

Squatch is so mad! Lol! Spinning like a record.

its something the vast majority wont even realize, and the ones that do are at the point where they will defend it as not a big deal anyway. I doubt they patch it

Well considering games tend to have some issues it won't be the only reason to patch it.

It's like seeing a person talk out of two mouths at the same time.

Baha arguing Nintendo shouldn't patch games......

And it is like you are ignoribg the bigger picture that Wii games last gen couldnt get patches and to do those konds of patches might not work.

Nintendo game in the 8th gen with the 3DS and Wii U CAN get patched

This is sputtering nonsense.

You are a hypocrite, you got caught, come to peace with it.

No, again BIG difference in patching a past gen game to use a next gen controller versus patching a current gen game to fix whatever possible issues exist.

No. Your argument in that topic was that they shouldn't patch because something could go wrong. Nice try at deflecting though, it looked like a legitimate argument for a second.

And in any case......

On the Wii U they can just modify the virtual Wii console. Make it accept any control they want. Make it translate that control to Wiimote signals so the game doesn't even "see" the tablet controller.

Ok so what then? If we go by that yes a patch could make it work, but in other cases it could fail. On top of that however the main thing would be is it practical to patch their 1st Party Wii Titles for use of the Wii U Gamepad/Pro Controller?

Also VC is a different beast all together as it's digital in mind and uses none of the motion controlled features. Which could be a possible issue fir games like say Skyward Sword or other titles with Wii Motion Plus added.

And really this all still goes back to the fact that no BC titles ever fully utilize next gen controls or motion controls

Baha, you are one of the worst Nintendrones to join the ranks of the NDF. At least squatch is hilarious by constantly failing at defending the Almighty N. You are just a hypocrite. Here, let me quote you when Nintendo didn't allow devs to patch their games:

Baha05 posted...
Because patching would take some work and again doing one game means they would have to do other titles. And just because you patch something doesn't mean it's an easy process or wouldn't make things worse for a title.

It had nothing to do with "it wasn't possible to patch Wii games". You were just blindly defending Nintendo's stupid decisions, as usual. Now that they do patch their games, it's obvious you're gonna white knight their 180 course change.

Can't wait to you see defending achievements after Nintendo introduces them in their next console.

Or because you know no company has EVER patched a past gen game to work with a next gen controller on top of Wii games lacking the patch abilitiy. Because now that I think of it, unless a past gen game was in some way ported or remade, chances are they are going to only be able to use that gens controller. With the exception to PS2/PS3, which don't count as Sony has reused that controller 3 times over and even on the PS3, the PS1 and PS2 don't even take advantage of Sixaxis.

Sony and third parties patched many Dualshock3 only games to use Move.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_Move_games

Since Move was designed and prototyped one generation after, and released 2 gens after the original Dualshock it is a "next-gen" controller in relation to the Dualshocks. All Dualshocks, including 3, are essentially the same right? Because that's what you've been arguing...that all the Dualshocks are basically the same, so they're also basically the same gen too.

So, Sony and third parties have indeed patched past-gen games to use a next-gen controller. And that's according to your logic.

And those games were PS3 titles, there are no PS2 or PS1 games using that, but again even if they can patch Gamepad controls into Wii titles, the bigger question is this:

Is it worth it?

Maybe, or maybe not, who is seriously going to care? And as for the Duelshcok Controllers yes they in a sense ARE the same controller, because the design is the same they don't have to do much to make the DS3 work with PS1 and PS2 titles, yet NONE of them use the Motion controls, nor were they built with Move in mind anyhow.
