Just got WiiU... few questions

#1Y SPosted 6/28/2014 12:48:15 PM
It is now updating so I got a few questions.

1. Do I have to wait 2 days after registering MK8 to get my free game?
2. Is it my WiiU Network id I give to people to connect to me online?
3. If I play MK8 with Wii Remote+ is it motion control only or can I use the d-pad to steer?
4. Will I be able to link my Wii account to my WiiU Network id thing and get my digital games that way?
5. The sensor bar is for the game pad or can I remove that if not using Wii remotes?

1. It can happen as early as 30 minutes. It depends on your region and connection speed.
2. Yepper.
3. Don't know honestly, i've only used the gamepad.
4. Again don't know. Didn't buy any games on my Wii

5. Sensor bar is for using the wii mote. Gamepad has no use for it.

5.) i don't even have a sensor bar (besides the one on my Wii), since i don't use wiimotes on my WiiU. it doesn't affect anything else.

Did you buy a white wii u or a black one? It should have come with a sensor bar, but you can use your wii's sensor bar.

Mario Kart 8 allows you to use directional controls for steering on the remote.
