I was thinking about wanting a Chrono Trigger remake on the Wii U.....

but a lot of the charm for the game comes from its 16 bit graphics and art style. That goes for a lot of games.

Chrono Trigger is one of the few games out there that doesn't need a remake.

But if it did get one, I'd hope it is inspired by something like Ni no Kuni or Dragon Quest VIII visually, and the audio doesn't get altered.

Considering Square-Enix's track record nowadays, I'd rather they didn't...

I hope it comes on the Wii U VC. Would love to play it for the first time ever.

This. The SNES version holds up considerably well even today. Chrono Cross, on the other hand, desperately needs a remake or remaster. There were a bunch of scenarios that the development clearly wanted to put in but they just left them as a text plot dump just before the final boss because of budget or time constraints. Square needs to get the team back together and finish developing the damn game. And Mitsuda needs to get that Chrono Cross album remaster done too.

I don't care for a remake. What I care for it for the original to be on the NA eShop, with a number of other SNES games from Squaresoft (which was their name at the time).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the DS version a remake or is that an enhanced port?
