So for Nintendo games, it goes: gameplay > story > graphics. Right?

Works with almost any game.
Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles, Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes.
Is this a solid flowchart?

I think story and graphics are interchangeable, but yeah, pretty much

There's also music / sound. The specific ordering of importance always depends on the game. Nintendo tends to operate in genres where Gameplay is the most important component, but there are some games where the story or presentation is equally if not more important.

Just wanted to mention that No More Heroes was also released on the PS3. NMH2 is Wii exclusive, but you can battle against some of the NMH2 bosses on the PS3 version of NMH.

Graphics, or aesthetics? Nintendo games always look very good, even if they aren't that impressive on a technical level. They definitely spend more time making their games pretty than they do on the stories.

It usually goes Gameplay>Art Style>>>>>>>>Story

Graphics are just the techniques used to create art style.

In the Galaxy games story was of more importance than the graphics????

In Mario Kart the story is greater than the graphics????

In Smash Bros. story is greater than graphics????

I agree with gameplay being of greatest importance but as far as everything else goes it entirely depends on the game.

I think it's Gameplay> Aesthetic> Story> Graphics. But that changes with different games.

I think they get it in pretty much the right order tbh, only thing that I would say is that in the cases where story has come further up the chain it mostly hasn't worked, where as other developers seem to be able to make this work a bit better.

Nintendo doesn't think in such rigid, myopic ways. That's why they're the best developer in the industry and most other developers look like children in comparison

You mean in the sense that the environment tells a story about past events?

Indeed, a game that has great graphical effects can be screwed by poor aesthetics.
