The Wii U is in desperate need of as many good games as it can get, and they pretty much all have to be first party due to the Wii U having very weak third party support.

Surely Nintendo must realize the outburst against Sticker Star and the people who were upset about Paper Mario Wii, even though that game was still ok. I mean, they recognized that people wanted Mother 3 at their Nintendo Direct for goodness sake! So why haven't they put IS to work on a true Paper Mario game yet? Don't they want my money?!

Leaving aside how incredibly subjective the idea of a "true" Paper Mario game is...

How do you know they haven't?

SPM sold way more copies than TTYD, and Sticker Star will likely eventually outsell it too.

Given how the Wii U has an even lower install base than the Gamecube did, I doubt a decent Paper Mario game would change much. Mario RPG's also don't sell systems like Mario Kart or platformers.

Now it might be Pushmo World but it's probably something bigger than that.

^^All aboard the hype train!

They have been giving Intelligent Systems a lot of work these days, eh? I guess that's thanks in part to the success of Fire Emblem Awakening. Which, thankfully, came out way before Pokemon did otherwise it would have been thrown under the bus like the other Fire Emblems :(

nope, a game like the original and TTYD, shouldn't be too hard to grasp the concept of what constitutes a real Paper Mario

I actually liked Super Paper Mario, but a PM in the vein as TYD would be amazing. I hope it stars Luigi.

My sig will never happen, but it would be awesome if it did.
