Their controls are pretty loose and sloppy too. Everything is floaty and delayed.

Is this still the case in Tropical Freeze? I wanted to like DKCR on 3DS, but the controls were so floaty and delayed that I just lost all interest.

Haven't played DKCR3D, but Tropical Freeze's controls were pretty tight. Dixie's ponytail hovering also makes some trickier jumps more forgiving.

You're kidding right? Dixie is near useless. Her jump is too weak to be helpful. Diddy all the way.

Are you kidding me right about now?

Is this guy kidding me?

The Wii U board is seriously just awful.

I found Diddy to be the practically useless one, honestly: his little hover is too short to do much with. I'll take Dixie's Yoshi impression any day of the week over that.

No, because she is.

the recent country games are much harder. and what you mentioned is a bit fo fake difficulty (lives are abundant in all 3 games, tho) i'm pretty sure it's the entire gba trilogy that lets you save everywhere

Except that's not fake difficulty, stop using terms that don't exist.

What? The term clearly exists, bro! Bro, you just used it. Come on, it's right there, bro. xDDDD lol

Has to be, since most of the game seems to be designed with Dixie's helicopter boost in mind.

As for the controls, they're still loose, floaty and clumsy in Tropical Freeze. However the game is designed around them and Retro did a much better job in TF than they did in DKCR in that regard, so they feel much better.

Yeah, I think he's trolling. I used her at every possible opportunity and had no issues at all. Pretty sure she's the best power up.

Original triology > new games in nearly every aspect.

I do think the new games are harder but I think DKC1&2 are more fun.

the level design of the two new games beat the crap out of everything in the original trilogy

When you play a video game, you expect be able to use your skills as a gamer to beat whatever challenges the game throws at you. If the challenges require a lot of skill, the game is hard to win. If it doesn't require much skill, it should be an easy game. However, some games that should be relatively easy are actually quite hard. It could be due to shoddy programming, a Game-Breaking Bug, poor implementation of gameplay elements or time constraints, or the developers threw in something which makes the game harder, but which has nothing to do with the player's or AI's skills. This is fake difficulty.

in this case, i'm talking about the spread-apart save points.

They are none of these. The controls are as good as they could get considering the core design of the experience.

More villains need to be protagonists. BIS proves it can work.
Ridley, Ganondorf, Bowser, Fawful and King Dedede all for their own games!
