Even though people keep saying Dynasty Warriors games are mostly hack and slash with little depth, I'm just interested in playing as the different Zelda characters and trying out all their special moves. The graphics are a nice change from more cheery games too so I'm pretty excited.

Same amount of hype. Adventure mode looks awesome and all the leveling and different weapons was something I didn't know about that excites me. The lack of surprising character reveals really disappointed me though. Everyone knew villains were going to be playable and Ganon would be in. I wanted more minor characters.

More.
Art style looked awesome. Gameplay looked fun. Lots of characters and crap to unlock it seems.

I guess slightly more but I would have voted for the same if it was an option. Like the second posted, I also wanted to find out about more characters. Adventure mode was nice but it was really the only piece of news there.

More.

It was awesome to see more items in action and to see Ganondorf revealed... Also glad to see the weapon crafting system from other games return as well as that neat badge system...

No hype.

the direct is hyping skins for a game that is about reskinning a reskinned game. not a big deal if I was actually into the series, but I could never get the appeal of DW.

I don't even understand why you would even waste half an hour to watch the Direct then, because obviously it's going to be a lot like Dynasty Warriors games.

Saying it's just reskinned is also pretty ignorant, because there are plenty of Zelda elements in there. That's generally the case for the DW collaboration games. The base is a DW game, but they add elements from the universes (One Piece, Gundam, Zelda, Fist of the North Star) to make the game feel unique.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

I am less hyped, without an online component for multiplayer this game is a no go for me.
