I may consider buying this system but I need some motivation.

Sincere reply:

Pros:
- Good selection of exclusive titles (3D World, Wonderful 101, Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, MH3U, etc)
- Cheapest current generation console
- Backwards compatible with the Wii
- Physically small and sleek
- Quiet; low power consumption
- Fairly decent UI; good for video streaming on the TV(wasn't like this at launch, though)

Cons:
- Weakest hardware this generation by far
- Rarely if ever gets multiplatform titles. When multiplats are released on it, they're typically the worst version with rare exceptions (Rayman Legends)
- Lackluster or non-existent online features for many games.

Well, it just kinda depends on what exclusives you want. Are you thinking about buying a different console compared to this, or are you just wanting to maybe buy this?

A big pro for me is the new Zelda that was announced. I would never, ever, buy a Nintendo console for 3rd party games. Their 1st party games make up for the bad ports tho. Plus, as Xero said, it's backwards compatible, so you CAN play Wii games on it. However, I'll disagree with him on the UI, I personally don't like it. But that's just my opinion.

It DOES have the weakest hardware. Games I've seen on it run pretty awful. I saw Tank Tank Tank on it, and the fps was maybe 10 or 15. But I also played Monster Hunter on it and that ran solidly.

I don't actually own a Wii U, but my cousin owns one and we played it for a few days.

When was the last time you used a Wii U? The interface has improved several times since launch. I myself did not like the user interface until a few months ago.
