If this hits in 2015, it will be the most idiotic, stupid thing that could be done for the game and the Wii U. I hope this comes out blazing with limited edition bundle, GC controller, and several ammibos.

It's just a guess. And until the official release date is announced, that's all it is.

Nintendo said holiday 2014, so unless some big issue pops up in the game it will most likely come out this year. And Nintendo knows it would be a bad idea to not have a big blockbuster release this holiday season. As amazing as Bayonetta 2 WILL be, it's nowhere near the high-seller Smash will be (though I'm still curious about the effect of the 3DS version on Wii U version sales).

I hope you're right; hopefully it doesn't become like the 3DS version that was pushed back from Summer 2014 to October

I personally would love if Nintendo delayed it rather than rushed it.
But it's in Nintendo's best interest to have Smash out for christmas.

Also, don't forget that the 3DS version is out in October, so all character and balancing stuff will be done by then.

I personally would love if Nintendo delayed it rather than rushed it.

it's okay! they can just fix and balance things out through balance patches like everyone else!
