Dreamfall Chapters not coming to the Wii U anymore.

You'd think they would've updated their Kickstarter page about this since it was originally a crowd-funded game.

EDIT: Oh, console exclusive, will still be on PC which I played the first two games on.
Hopefully it will be better than the first Dreamfall but it seems it'll be more of the same.

Oh Solis, that's not a good link for 3DS numbers. That's a March 2013 article.
It wasn't released on 3DS until this year.

But the fact is that the 3DS is still a Nintendo system. And it still sold a significant number of "copies" but thefact is there isn't much proof to the claim that Nintendo fans don't buy other titles because no one can count how many fans there truly are for any given system.

"Significant" is arguable at best, but regardless, the WiiWare sales show that multiplatform titles can also end up doing absolutely terrible on Nintendo systems. Even at its best, Retro City Rampage just isn't a good example of multiplatform games performing well on Nintendo platforms.

2. selling "better", still doesnt support the argument about how many nintendo owners care about other games, because most of the time its still a small amount. indie titles can sell well for them, but if someone is making a comment like "the vast majority of wiiu owners only care about mario games", using indie titles doesnt disprove that. their sales tend to be in the low hundred thousands.

Well nothing supports that argument anyhow as well you can't really break down fanbases that easy to make such claims that only Nintendo owners buy only Nintendo games.

People tend to use the proof that Nintendo games (games with Mario), sell much better than anything else to prove that people mainly only buy the consoles for Mario titles. A lot of people here also admit that's why they buy the home console, just for the few exclusives.

Definer a lot then.

Quite a few people admit it, but We'll count next time a topic about wiiu not getting a game or how a 3rd party game performed on wiiu comes up. They show up then.

Either way that's getting further from the point, if you're going to say "this game sells a lot, so that proves people who own wiius buy other games" but the game you're talking about sells around 100k, that doesn't disprove the point.

In that case it would depend on the game, for an indie title 100k is a nice amount to sell. Bigger titles not so much unless of course the title itself did not sell too much on any console as that sometimes can happen.

More like gambling on Bayonetta. Tomb and Dreams have established fan bases, although of varying sizes.

ok you're missing the point here. yes 100k is "good" for an indie game, but 100k out of 6 million is still a tiny percent. all im saying is if you're going to make the claim that wiiu owners do like games outside of nintendo, a game with 100k sales doesnt prove that.

Sony is trying to make it's platform the best, Microsoft is trying to make their platform the best and they are being active and aggressive about it.

Just because Nintendo "isn't in competition with them" doesn't mean that they shouldn't be doing more aggressive things, the Bayonetta 2 deal and Sonic exclusivity are all well and good but Sony are getting games that the mass gaming market want to see, so are Microsoft (I'd argue that the Tomb Raider deal was excellent given how the first game was simply outstanding).

Nintendo aren't playing the game, and it's going to damage them far more than they have realised yet. The next generation of Nintendo hardware may well suffer now, something which I don't think even the Nintendo faithful can deny now.
