Why would want third party support? The third parties treat their IPs like trash

Yeah, I know this looks similar to my other third party topic, http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/631516-wii-u/69608889

but this one specifically talks about the way they treat their IPs, with EA and Capcom being the two obvious ones. Bandai Namco axed ShiftyLook and doesn't do anything else with the IPs that were used in ShiftyLook, Sega refuses to localize anything that isn't Sonic, Squeenix refuses to localize anything that isn't Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts and alot of their games are vaporware, Activision doesn't bother with anything that isn't milking Call of Duty, Skylanders, or Spongebob (other than Destiny), Konami bought Hudson and not only doesn't do anything with their IPs, Konami doesn't do anything with their own IPs except for Metal Gear and even that would be in the trash if not for Kojima.

Nintendo fans, you're not missing out on anything. "AAA" third party support is garbage, we wouldn't get anything good out of it anyways. Nintendo actually is getting GOOD third party support though from companies that actually care like Platnium and Atlus as well as indie games.

Oh yeah? Explain where a new Trauma Center is then.

Yes let's all make blanket disparaging statements about the games not coming to Wii U so we feel better about having near zero third pary support.

You whine about companies using their IPs, then criticize other companies for NOT utilizing theirs. You're so internally inconsistent...it would be funny if it wasn't so pathetically sad.

This, though I would still complain about them not utilizing IPs.

"Good" support from Platinum? Nintendo paid Platinum to make W101 for them, and it sold poorly. Then Nintendo bought the development rights for a game no one else wanted to touch. That's not "good" support, since Platinum didn't make anything that Nintendo didn't pay for. Which is still only 2 games. Not "good" support at all.

As for ATLUS, they support the 3DS just fine, but what have they done for the Wii U? I know of only one game coming to the U from them, and it's crossed with a Nintendo IP.

If you site these two studios as "good" support, with so few games as "evidence", then the other consoles are getting god-tier support from so many more devs, plus Platinum and ATLUS.

Sigh... Nintendo misses out on a whole loads of AAA titles that are great. From a bunch of good developers.

Unless you're not going by the industry's definition of "AAA", a game is either AAA or it is great. It can't be both.

Thought processes like this and thinking playstation and xbox have led to an increase in violent crimes plus your idea of a driver license-esque video game license have me hoping you are never professionally involved in the video game industry in any way

The industry's definition of a AAA title is a big budget, heavily marketed game. A AAA can be great or utter crap.
