sega bought all of index nintendo had no need for anything but atlus they where kinda unable to get atlus do to this

It would not have been worth it for either company.

Nintendo would have to spend enough to buy Atlus at its entire value, and its entire value includes the ability to publish for an profit on games made for rival platforms. Nintendo would need to strip all that value out. It would be like buying a house and knocking it down. Sure you still own a plot of land, but you've probably over paid for it.
If I support the game company, then I won't be supporting the blank DVD business.

Sega bought Index not just for Atlus, but for Index as well. Sega is owned by Sega Sammy, a business company.

It would take Nintendo a long time to make a profit off the acquisition, perhaps never. Because they wouldn't be making full use of the purchase which included Index.

Nintendo buying Index would be a dumb move. Atlus games aren't system sellers and there is no room for profit.

They should have bought Hudson - Bomberman and Master Higgins deserved a better fate than what Konami gave them.
