It did better than the xbone but worse than the ps4

So technically it has neither failed nor owned.

It failed compared to the PS4.

l guess Xbone has really failed then.

It is behind the PS4 *and* the Wii U.

Surely that cannot be considered a great feat.

I got one instead of a PS4 so no actually. But compared to overall sales yes. But Nintendo is sticking with their product. I respect that so I will support them and play the rest of all the games on my PC/TV.

Consoles shouldn't be about 480p, 720p, 1080p or the prettiest slideshow.
They're about a magical box that outputs wonderful streams of 60 images per second.

As an update to the Wii, I'd say it was pretty successful. As a full blown new gen console, it is failing

Not for very long.

It failed miserably.

There's only one objective way to measure whether or not the Wii U has failed, and that's by sales.

The Wii U has been out for 21 months. The console is on track to sell less than the Gamecube did in lifetime sales, and the Gamecube was already the lowest selling Nintendo console of all time. Considering it's trending to set a new low in Nintendo home console sales, It's clear that yes, the Wii U is currently failing.

As far as quality of games is concerned the Wii U is not failing. I personally believe the Wii U currently has the best games of any of the Gen 8 consoles. Of course, opinions on game quality are purely subjective. Somebody can like Infamous: Second Son more than Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and that's fine, but ultimately it's still subjective opinions vs. objective numbers.

Currently the Wii U failed.

That makes no sense what so ever. For something to fail it has to be done. The WiiU is a fail in progress. It is currently failing, but it hasn't failed yet.

No, when you say something along the lines of "up until this point the wiiu has failed", (which is basically what ps4warrior was saying), its still a accurate comment.

So if you judge up until this point it has failed, if you're judging its entire existence its still currently failing but can turn it around if things turn around even more.

Also how is xb1 failing more than wiiu? Comparing the 2, it would seem overall xb1 would be a little better.

If it failed then it's completely done. Failed and failing are different tenses. He wanted to say "currently the WiiU is failing". The WiiU hasn't been Dreamcast'd yet. It didn't fail, it's failing. The difference being that once it's done it can't come back, but when it's still alive it can.

A console that's easily 3rd in sales, doesn't outsell the Wii U per week despite THIRDPARTYANDGRAFIX and isn't making Microsoft a profit is better than the Wii U?
