so did the wii u fail

The Wii U's suffering from stasis, Nintendoomed on a daily basis.
It's more quiet than most, doesn't make much sound, is apparently dead but still flopping around.

So, it was ok for trolls to use vgchartz when comparing PS4 numbers against Wii U, but now that PS4 isn't being talked about, and vgchartz shows Wii U numbers ahead of XB1, it is now off-limits for not being credible. We said from the very beginning that vgchartz wasn't credible, but nope, they wouldn't listen, so now they're being proven just how hypocritical they are. It's all because they don't something Wii U being on top over anything.

Of course king_madden would do that. He wanted sales numbers, he got it, then he plugs his ears and whines "naa naa not credible" while he cites numbers from the companies -- companies that can and have exaggerated, misled with, or even made-up their own claims (especially Microsoft). That's why people like to use NPD or Media Create (independent data firms) for their source for sales. But it's only for their respective regions, and (for NPD) only for certain time periods.

By the way, he's the same poster who also said this about vgchartz: Vgchartz is only inaccurate when they post numbers people don't agree with. If they post numbers people like or agree with you will see them referred to numerous times.

And look what he's doing in this thread. Whining about the inaccuracies of vgchartz when they post numbers he doesn't agree with. He's a hypocritical troll.

@mw
The only reason wiiu is selling more is because it is in more markets, and has a bigger presence in japan. The only reason wiiu has more sales is because its been out a year longer. Xb1 is tracking ahead of wiiu. They seem to be close in sales in every week all of this with most xb1 heavy hitters not out yet, and wiiu having most of theirs out, and a much larger library

All a load of BS. What's with the excuses madden? We know that some posters on this board would be gleefully making their OUTSELL posts if the XB1 was actually ahead of the Wii U in sales. It is not. It's Microsoft's fault that it isn't in more markets, and it's Microsoft's fault that it isn't selling in Japan. It's Microsoft's fault that it isn't selling more than the Wii U overall per week. Sony did all of that without these pathetic excuses.

Stop talking about "woulda, coulda, shoulda, might, maybe" and show that the XB1 is doing better than the Wii U right now.

Wait, even though the Xbox One has nearly matched almost nearly 2 years of WiiU sales in less than half the time, your trying to make it out like Microsoft is doing badly? What does that say for Nintendo then when the WiiU is trampled by the PS4 and the Xbox is closing in on on it in less than half the time that the WiiU has been out, and, with the U having its heavy hitters out?

Also. The Japanese don't buy American home consoles. The fact that the WiiU is barely ahead of the Xbox after a 1 year head start and being available in more markets isn't worth bragging about.

Except the Xbox One has had issues outselling the Wii U on a global scale in recent times. Unlike the PS4, the XB1 sales momentum has hit a rut. And it has games out, the same games that people whine about being missing on the Wii U.

Also, Japanese gamers count. It's Microsoft's problem that their consoles aren't in more markets.

But what exactly is your point? The Xbox One has sold better than the WiiU had at this point in its lifetime. The WiiU is nearing 2 years old and has almost all of its heavy hitters out yet the Xbox one in nearly neck and neck with it despite only being available in certain markets, being more expensive, and only being out half the time. If that means the Xbox one is doing bad then the WiiU is horribly failing.

and here:

nice quote from the hypocrite here:

Well you can easily take official numbers from companies or NPD and compare them to vgchartz to see that they ("they" referring to Vgchartz) are regularly very close to the final number, so that means constantly for weeks, months, and years with all their numbers they ("they" referring to Vgchartz) manage to remain in the ballpark with sales.

That's cool. But it isn't selling at the same rate as it did at launch. It's still 2 million units sold behind the Wii U, so if its current and future momentum is just at Wii U sales numbers instead of way more than that, it won't outsell the Wii U for this console generation.

So? The "games" claim is invalid, the Xbox One is already attracting those gamers who don't want to play Nintendo games or who want to play the third-party games that the Wii U doesn't have. Nintendo's historically premier selling games aren't out either (proper Mario title, proper Zelda title, Smash Bros., Mario Party, etc.). Mario kart has staying power for Nintendo consoles, and that was recently released. It also hasn't yet had the super attractive price cut that other Nintendo consoles have gotten. And, again, the markets problem is Microsoft's problem.

So when the WiiU was hitting all time record lows sales wise for home consoles, it wasn't do to lack of games. After all, the games claim would have been invalid because the WiiU would have been attracting those Nintendo only fans then, right? Did sales of the WiiU not at least go up some when there was more big time Nintendo offerings?

If you think the Xbox one trailing slightly behind the WiiU even though it isn't available in some markets and isn't even a year old yet while the WiiU has had Mario Kart released and Smash around the corner and had that year head start, then, I won't change your mind. I guess whatever helps you sleep better in your Nintendo sheets at night

Nintendo consoles depend way more on its first-party games than the others, though. But I'm having a blast playing Nintendo games lol, I couldn't care less if Nintendo sold 1 or 100 million Wii U consoles, or if it finishes first or last in sales. I didn't during the N64/Gamecube era, and I loved playing the Wii when it sold and when it its sales stagnated. The king_madden trolls are the ones who care about sales, and it must hurt his XB1 psyche that the Wii U is still well ahead of the XB1woth the same sales momentum. But that's his problem.
