Why do nintendo fans advertise their games for them?

I don't understand the logic if nintendo doesn't bother to promote their games why should you? I imagine some of these people going door to door asking 'Have you accepted nintendo into your heart?'

Well the fans don't seem to be doing a good job either.

I'm sure they all know Nintendo isn't going to do it, so someone has to. Unless Mario's in it there's a good chance it wont be advertised all that well.

I did, yes, with Hyrule Historia as joke at my friend's house. Do you have a minute to talk about The Legend of Zelda?

It's natural to want to tell people about something you look forward to or already like, it's called "word of mouth" advertising and it exists for any product or service you can think of.
