I don't understand the logic if nintendo doesn't bother to promote their games why should you? I imagine some of these people going door to door asking 'Have you accepted nintendo into your heart?'

I'm sure they all know Nintendo isn't going to do it, so someone has to. Unless Mario's in it there's a good chance it wont be advertised all that well.

It's natural to want to tell people about something you look forward to or already like, it's called "word of mouth" advertising and it exists for any product or service you can think of.
