ITP- doesn't understand that there are many levels of "dark".
Not everything is Game of Thrones (which is the kind of dark you are talking about I assume)

Game of Thrones is dark? Wat? That's just rainbow fantasy with some violence and sex thrown in to impress the children.

So, Bellum_Sacrum, arbiter of "What Is"...

I would consider a game franchise that depicts murder, genocide, active torture and kidnapping to be "dark".

Fire Emblem definitely. A lot of the themes it covers are really dark

Fire Emblem easily, especially the Judgral games, whose themes and events are probably why the games never left japan. I'm aware that both are late SNES games though.
