I hope they make those and other useless standup techniques (In the game) ALOT more relevant in their respective fields of play..... --- PSN and GamerTag: TheGreatPapaya TC = Tender Crisp (Chicken Sandwich)

Uppercuts were useful at least compared to short punches like the jab. I hope jabs will be able to throw opponent's attacks off target and sometimes stun. --- PSN - Tman229 Xbox360 GameTag - Tcrusader51

Its already been confirmed that jabs will be alot more useful by cancelling out strong hits and not being able to counter grapple...... thats y I made this topic if jabs are getting the treatment y not all the other SEMI-useless techniques...... elbows should not be able to ko ppl or SEVERLY powered down/slowed so no "rapid fire" are thrown OR replaced with a slower short hook --- PSN and GamerTag: TheGreatPapaya TC = Tender Crisp (Chicken Sandwich)

But elbows actually can KO people so why take that out? I think the problem was how easily it could be spammed. Elbows shouldn't have such a short delay as it did in 2010. However, uppercuts are fine the way they were imo other than maybe adding a longer distance uppercut with somewhat lesser damage. --- PSN - Tman229 Xbox360 GameTag - Tcrusader51
What I'm trying to say is that elbows CAN ko ppl but how many times have u seen an elbow from a standing clinch range KTFO someone?..... not that many times and no Anderson Silva vs Tony Frykland doesn't count..... I'm just sayin that they need to be tweaked via speed/power (uppercuts r ok tho after playin with em more) --- PSN and GamerTag: TheGreatPapaya TC = Tender Crisp (Chicken Sandwich)

Well it's not really the question of how many people I've seen get KO'ed from a standing position but really how many elbows have I seen been thrown in a standing position. Honestly, most elbow strikes I see standing are used when right before breaking out a clinch off the cage and moving away. I don't quite remember too many straight elbow slashes while simply standing or rather any at all. Don't know why it's not often throw either because it can easily do more damage than hooks and uppercuts too. --- PSN - Tman229 Xbox360 GameTag - Tcrusader51
ALL TRUE this person speaks the truth (I'm not makin fun Tman229)..... while throwing a straight elbow off of a clinch isn't used in the game(Tho I wish it was) most fighters don't throw straight elbows due to hand or arm positioning when fighters r at clinch range THEY CLINCH they don't hang around there....... elbow s actually rn't that useful seeing that to get any kind of power u have to twist ur waist/arm to an extreme unlike punches that don't need as much --- PSN and GamerTag: TheGreatPapaya TC = Tender Crisp (Chicken Sandwich)
