I was wondering if anyone knows about how the "double takedowns" work, do they happen automatically or do you have the option?. The reason I ask is because in some instances it could screw things up, for example I was watching a gameplay video and he was using stealth to get to a snipers position and once he reached him he performed a takedown which involved him pulling the pin from one of the grenades he had then Kicking him off of the tower to the pirates below resulting with and obvious explosion and a full blown gun battle. What if I didn't want to do that and continue to use stealth and pick the rest off one by one from that position using a sniper rifle of my own. But I hope you can see where im coming from and hopefully someone has a better idea. Thanks

I think there is a command for the second takedown, but I may be getting confused by Dishonored's adrenalike kills.

Okay, I'll explain how the takedowns work.

First you unlock the standard press-RS-to-takedown skill. Later you can unlock many different takedown types which builds upon the normal one. The most important one is chain takedown, it allows you to flick the left stick in the direction of a second enemy and kill him too, then a third, then a fourth etc. (keep in mind you're still vulnerable when doing this, so if enemies are shooting at you, you will die by the time you're finished with the second one). There's also a takedown that lets you take the knife of your victim and throw it at someone else. This is done with the right trigger. Another takedown lets you pull the pin on a grenade, then kick the victim away. This is done with the right bumper. There's also a takedown which lets you take the gun of the victim and shoot others with it.

Then there are the death from above/below takedowns. Let's you kill someone by jumping onto them from above drag someone down with you from below. These can also be upgraded so that you can take out two people at once.

There's also an upgrade which will let you drag the bodies after a takedown kill, though you can't pick them up again once you've dropped them.
