Love borderlands 2 and dishonored, was disappointed in AC3 and hitman and had no interest in COD or halo so is for me is easily game of the year. I just hope people buy this game and it gets the commercial succes it so deserves.

Agreed. This year has been kinda crap overall, sadly, but Far Cry 3 is a shining example of a game done right. --- youtube.com/sciencebytes, learn something new

I like a lot about it, and it's likely GOTY in regards to all that's come out this year, but something still sits off about it with me, making me feel like it's not quite as good as some other open-world games. --- Pretend there are awe-inspiring lyrics or oh-so-hilarious quotations here, please.

I really like Far Cry 3, but Borderlands 2 is still my GOTY. The combat, diverse enemies, bosses, varied environments and loot all make it better IMO.
TC outside of AC3 and Hitman all the others you named we're fps games. R those the only games u like? Just curious I think FC3 is a contender for me also it's currently tied with Dragon's Dogma

I would give it to Dragon's Dogma. I can't think of really any flaws in that game. There was the fact that it got a bit easy after being a good challenge early on. But it looks like they fixed that. FC 3 has amazing single player. But the UI and multiplayer are awful. I know one game is just single player and this one has both... but you have to judge a game as a whole I think. --- GT: GUINESSGUY84

Don't know about GOTY. The gameplay in single player was absolutely brilliant, in fact I still have trouble putting down the controller. However the multiplayer was lackluster at best, and the storyline was absolute ****. --- Fallout New Vegas: The central conflict is essentially; US Army Vs. Roman Empire Vs. Oh, and I almost shot myself when the game started playing skrillex at the pot farm. Seriously Soundtrack 4/10. --- Fallout New Vegas: The central conflict is essentially; US Army Vs. Roman Empire Vs. Howard Hughes and his army of robots. People still complained about it.
