Sniping distance?

Am I gonna be able to pop ppl from super far distances like from the top of those towers? or does everything disappear like in most games?

I've sniped people from the top of the towers, but they were close to the base. Nothing disappears, but your rifle doesn't have unlimited range.

The range is around 170 meters.
