Far Cry 3

Been playing this game for a few hours and really enjoying it. Not sure if this is a problem or not but I only have one weapon slot unlocked, the others have a padalock on them even though I have played long enough and have several weapons that I can use.

Is there some trick to this or will they eventually unlock? I have checked the in game manual but can't find anything that specifically addresses this.

you have to craft better weapon holsters.
