Crocs and rocks

Every time I am about to cross a still body of water, I wonder to myself if there is a crocodile in there just waiting to bite my leg. I'm wondering if throwing a rock in the water first would distract a waiting crocodile, or if it would just ignore it. Anyone tried this?

Are you serious? Why don't you try it and tell us what happens? I've only seen two Crocs ever and I've blown them both up with C4 before they ever did anything. The one on the main story mission might have gotten me had my crosshair not turned red before I jumped in. But it did and thus he exploded...

Crocs don't move, so unless you step on one your safe. You can swim right by
them and they won't get you.
