Naming the most unique games to come out in the past several years to try and make FarCry look good doesn't make you look very smart. FarCry is nothing compared to Minecraft and unfortunately Skyrim. ArmA is a refreshingly realistic take on FPS but it's only popular because of a zombie mod (a very good one). FarCry is just a typical FPS with an open world, and what's sad is that they have a perfect environment for a survival game, but there is NO survival. I don't really see how far cry 3 is a "typical fps." this thread reeks of trolling. Typical first person shooters don't have; -open world -leveling up system -sidequests They also don't typically last longer than 8 or so hours, let you equip more than 2 weapons, or have a static inventory. They are usually linear, short, shallow experiences that's main selling point is competetive multiplayer. It's just shallow. Just about nothing in this game is actually new or notable, and the story sure as heck isn't worth mentioning.
