WHAT is the point of silenced weapon if i still get HEARD anyways

This is sooo annoying. Clearing out posts in a stealthy manner here is a drag. You shoot some dude with a silenced sniper and not only do the others notice but they track your position. I guess im just gonna run an gun now

because when you miss your targets hear you. stealth is useless for those who cannot aim.

in this case the game is like real life. that almost never happens (but gamers think it does for some reason).

depends if they see the person get shot or if you miss. if you take out someone, and the body is discovered a few minutes later they will not come to the spot the shot came from.

the only time they actively pursue you is if they see you. they may look around for a bit, but they will return to their routine if you stay hidden.

What the silencer is doing is making you HARDER to detect. It's not a magic "you can't hear this shot at all" thing like many shooters teach.

If you miss, either kill the guy you missed BEFORE he detects you, or relocate elsewhere. Do not sit in one place and expect to be fine.

Just make sure to target (and hit) people that are walking by themselves and make sure no other pirates are watching your target. If you kill a pirate and nobody sees him go down you'll remain undetected.

The silencer basically makes it so the sound isn't a dead give away. Even with subsonic ammunition it still makes a distinctive sound...just less so and not quite as loud. The goal isn't to be silent, its to blend end with background noise and not stick out immediately.

if youre engaging a patrol, aim for the enemy at the back of the pack. the rest of the patrol typically wont react to that enemies death, but if they do, they usually run to the body to investigate instead of instantly going into hunt mode. this gives you a few seconds to acquire and take out the other target/s before youre spotted.

The further away you are the longer it will take them to find you, they rarely travel very far if you wait for them to lose their alert status before going back to work. Stay far away on a hill in some bushes and they will almost never spot you. Even when the snipers were on alert with their laser sight dead center on my bush they wouldn't notice me.
