Is Far Cry 3 worth playing online?

My XBL Gold membership just recently expired, and I'm considering renewing it. I used to play other mutlplayer games, mostly first-person shooters, but have stopped in favor of playing other single games. Given that the main focus of FC3 is its single player story, would it be worth renewing my Gold membership to play online, even if I don't plan to play its multiplayer? What about for patches and updates?

i have put a lot more hours into co-op than the SP, but not everyone loves the co-op so i would not presume to know your reaction to it. it's basically a non-zombie L4D from what i have read.

Right now? Absolutely not. Multiplayer is a broken, buggy mess. You can't choose your match or host a public match. It is frustrating as hell.

Now, if and when a new patch arrives, maybe.

Co-op isn't anything new, but it can be fun, but spending 20 minutes to an hour to get a decent match is just bulls***.

it rarely takes more than 5-10 minutes to find a game. an hour?! your attempt to act like an injured party has blinded you to reality.

If you are trying to find a specific level, yes, it really does take a long time.

If you just want to play Ready or Not for the 100th time in a row, no, it does not.

Your attempt to act like this game doesn't have a host of severe problems has blinded you to reality.

But don't worry. I'm here to help.
