I'm pretty sure DFA is usable on Heavies, provided you have Heavy Beatdown. Wondering if anyone knows if the same is true for DFB?

It's definitely not. Spent quite some time trying this. Even perfectly lined up there is no prompt.

i have done it on a heavy. the xp i got was just called a heavy beatdown tho. it didnt multiply --- "I feel lethal. On the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip"

Not the death from below. Thats the standard takedown for heavies.

I haven't gotten DFB on a Heavy, but I did DFA on one while liberating an outpost yesterday.

So it works from both above and below? I only just found out you can headshot them with any sniper rifle if you hit them in the back of the head. --- www.nohomophobes.com

Above definitely does (of course you still need Heavy Beatdown). Below seems to not work based on these reports.

I just spent another 10 minutes trying DFB and there was no prompt. I was just under the water and able to use it on the regular pirates but no love on the heavies. The heavy walked back and forth in front of me on the edge of the dock many times and nothing even if I just pushed melee without a prompt.

the skill that lets you kill heavies is clear (from what i remember) and it says something along the lines that it is the only way to take down heavies (meaning the other stuff doesn't kill heavies, or they wouldn't bother to point that out)

Heavy Beatdown lets you perform DFA on heavies. Haven't gotten a DFB, but then again I only ever tried to use that to unlock the skills that followed...
