What are people complaining about in multiplayer?

I keep hearing how it's a mess, or ****ing garbage. What exactly causes this? It's kind of shallow in certain areas, but I've been having a fun time with it.

Kinda wish more than 300 people were on at any given time, but -shrug-

Why do you suppose there's only 300 people on at any given time?

Well, what I was actually getting at:

You would think a game that's only a couple of months old and that would supposedly have brand new maps for people to play every day would have a lot more than just 300 people on at any given time, right?

Unfortunately, just as you aren't bothering to look in the existing topics about this already on this board, Ubisoft is doing nothing to fix this game.

If you're a dedicated map maker this is nearly the worst MP ever made.

Also, I hate to say it but 300 is GREAT for a FC game.

Are you back to spread your particular brand of ignorance in denying the problems involving this game?

TC, the multiplayer sucks, there is no way to host public matches, no way to choose matches. Mapmakers are particularly upset as well.

Co-op is pretty boring and lazily made, awards require you to wait up to 8 hours before you can redeem them.

This game has one of the worst online modes I've ever seen.

You can knock CoD all you want, but they know how to make solid, fun, and addicting multiplayer. Which shows because their games outsell this series many times over.

But Ubisoft doesn't care. They managed to sell 4.5 million units of a crappy game because people like squiggy9996999 will accept any old garbage without complaint.

But squiggy IS right. Many people seem to think that most MP games will have at least a couple thousand people playing at any given time even if its not the crazy high numbers CoD gets. The fact is most MP games die within the first 2 or 3 months and are nonexistent in a year. And MP games that release with major issues are usually DOA, as was the case with FC2 and 3.

FCIP had about the same lifespan as FC2 which is really saying something because FCIP didn't sell nearly as well (actually, if VGChartz.com is to be believed FC2 sold 12.5 times as many copies as FCIP). Why did it survive so long? Ubisoft shipped a flawed but nonetheless working product.

I'm not so sure about that. I can think of several games such as Forza 4 that manage to retain their online audience for much longer because the online aspect of their game is so solid. And Forza usually has more than 300 players online as well, and it's been out for over a year.

Forza 4 and Far Cry 3 both have community content creation, but the way Forza 4 allows you to share with the community is above and beyond everyone else. Why couldn't FC3 do something similar?

Forza 4 was built around the content creation aspect.

FC3 was built around the single player experience. The mp was built because it was expected. I think the only reason the content creation was even included because it was a carry over from all the previous games and would piss off a lot of series fans if it wasn't a part of the game.
