Check out tab 11/12

This is another one of those sites that completely ignored the MP and editor in it's review. They even had the nerve to say the map selection is "a bit uninspired and most look very similar". So apparently GamesRadar has played all infinite maps.

I disagree with most of their points except weapon jamming. And absolutely do not use the guy who wrote FC3's story.

I definitely think it should stay on a tropical island. There's still a ton they could do to make areas look and feel different. But the rest of that article is pretty lame.

Yes, it probably should, but to be honest I really enjoyed the Africa environment.

An arctic setting for Far Cry 4 would be interesting as well, in my opinion.

As did I. If they made the colors a bit less dull though I think that would be an improvement.

I just don't see how they could make an interesting snow environment. It couldn't be anywhere near a jungle which to me is a big negative. I really like trees and foliage and in my experience snow environments in video games are rather bland and lifeless.

I suppose a desert setting would be out of the question too. I understand what you mean, though. Those types of settings warrant scarcity in enemies and free-roam exploration. Another jungle setting might feel copy/paste because of how little could be differentiated from this Far Cry 3, but I would like it anyway. Another African safari setting if done right would be cool too; namely done right by including more threatening animals.

I would love a setting we're not used to but I just can't think of anything. Everything has been done to death at this point. The settings I tend to like best are generally the ones that aren't too wide open. That certainly doesn't mean no snow. Snow can be beautiful if done right. But off the top of my head I can't think of any games that have done a snowy setting as well as say a jungle or city setting.

Anyways, we're a little off topic now, lol.

They should do what just cause 2 did and put desert, snow and jungle in one very big map, all different sections :P

On topic, I like how Far Cry is one of the very few games which include a map editor. Limitless maps created in various designs making each play session feel like a new experience. Perhaps there aren't as many players playing multiplayer as in Call of Duty and Battlefield, but that doesn't mean an even lesser populated co-op needs to take its place. I would argue that co-op should be cut from Far Cry 4 to concentrate more on multiplayer.

Unless it was 4-player dinosaur co-op...
