AusgillPosted 3/16/2013 1:59:15 AM | Don't want to start a big debate here but bought it on PC, loving it but it runs a bit slow (characters mouth doesn't match voice, movement is a bit clunky), thinking of getting it on 360. --- http://cheezburger.com/6696079616 http://i.imgur.com/JiEYZt5.gif |
usmovers_02Posted 3/16/2013 3:09:01 AM | The controls are smooth but the framerate DOES dip below 30 and there is big time screen tearing. --- www.nohomophobes.com |
DizzyDanielPosted 3/16/2013 3:18:44 AM | The framerate is atrocious. It's not even 30. --- http://i.imgur.com/tLwtgpb.png | http://i.imgur.com/VRmX841.jpg | Deno |

Macdaddyruss1Posted 3/16/2013 11:51:25 AM | there is screen tearing but if you like great looking game for the 360 get it, It plays well enough to enjoy it. you dont need 60FPS for the game to be fun. Play realistically and look around slower so the screen doesnt tear so much. For the 360 looks pretty good. Hellaof alot better that Just cause 2. --- 420+Xbox360= Enhanced Gaming Experience |
torey_caylorPosted 3/16/2013 1:03:37 PM | Just youtube it. Runs good considering how old the hardware is. My PC is trash, can't imagine it running much worse than on my rig yet i'm still having fun.
It has some pretty noticeable screen tear though. |
usmovers_02Posted 3/16/2013 1:22:48 PM | Yeah, the game is NEVER unplayable. There are noticeable FPS drops but it shouldn't ever effect what you're trying to do. --- www.nohomophobes.com |
thefinalzapkeetPosted 3/16/2013 4:11:47 PM | Yeah, there is some really bad screen tearing. The worst game I've ever had on a console with that. It's pretty minor though, but it is noticeable
FPS didn't seem that noticeable though.
Perosnally, though, I wish i bought it for PC at this point. The graphics are just kind of...meh. I've heard people praise them, which confuses me as they're pretty cruddy. Especially the NPC character models.
There's also something off about the console version, but it's hard to explain. It feels like when light shines on a person it's trying to have an effect that just doesn't look right. But this was only noticeable in one cutscene (when the big bad is talking to you in an office and sunlight is shining in).
But yeah, it plays really well, but this is one of the few games where i wish I had bought it for PC --- Go the Distance is the most inspirational song ever those that agree: 45 |
JiminipPosted 3/16/2013 11:42:42 PM | I rarely see screen tearing, but then I have a top of the range TV. --- 'Even with an IQ of 6000, it's still brown trouser time.' |
GlitchwerksPosted 3/17/2013 7:16:05 AM | From: Jiminip | #009I rarely see screen tearing, but then I have a top of the range TV. Your TV doesn't have anything to do with the screen tearing.
