24/7 Game needs more players!

#1Roode78Posted 5/25/2012 6:38:33 AM
Hi O! I've been running a 24/7 game/server since the game launched and I have to say that we have the absolute best world on the 360 version. Here's a short list of world features.

We have a 4 minute long sky rail that does give the achievement, and runs through most of the locations/attractions of the world.

Over ten pixel art ranging from simple to extremely complex/giant. Simple being some as basic as a space invader and complex being a masterchief with energy sword, Zero from mega man, and a Giant pepsi vending machine.

A working coliseum, replete with changing rooms, equipment dispensers, and a double door double redundancy ready system for both fighters. 4 lava pits (shallow) and 1 water pit (in case you get lit on fire). The coliseum and a large part of the main hub is covered by a sky cap glass ceiling. We hate the rain.

An 8 squid aquarium backlit with lava.

A lava/water fall bridge.

Our newest work and some of our best IMHO, would be the Iron pyramid that goes from sea level to the sky cap. The inside is truly epic and iconic and needs to be seen.

We have a 50 x 50 castle that is largely framed out and filled in but could use some finishing touches.

Multiple fast travel rail segments to shorten travel time.

I am currently working on designing a pirate ship from scratch. No simple copy and paste template for this badboy.

We have a centrally located supply hut with labeled chests. Everything is sorted and is very nice and neat and is open to anyone who can/will be able to contribute significant amounts of time. We clearly and obviously use the dispenser glitch as there is no creative mode at this time.

Some server/game rules:
1) Have a working mic!!!!!
2) This is an adult server/game world. You will not hear a childs voice in this game. Please be over 16 years of age and not be mentally deficient. I'm asking a lot from GameFaqs, I know.
3) Kinda goes without saying, but no grieving or stealing of items from private chests. Don't destroy or build into someone else's work with out asking. Common sense people.
4) If you start to build something, finish it. Also, if you build something, make sure that it is aesthetically pleasing. I'm glad that you think of it as modern art, but if it looks like crap it will likely be torn down. By me. With zeal.
5) Help each other, I can't always be online playing, so learn who your fellow game world denizens are and link up and invite them to the game world if I am AFC.

NEEDS:
We need a note block specialist.
We have one redstone genius, another wouldn't hurt.
If you can bang out pixel art then we still have plenty of space available.
We still need a capture card so that we can get this world on youtube. We've had a lot of offers but mostly from weirdos. There has to be a normal speaking human with a 360 capture card out there. SEND ME A MESSAGE IF THIS IS YOU!

If you've noticed, I use the term "We" a lot. While this IS my game world, I also share it with some very talented individuals, and once we get this world on youtube, they will be given full credit for their work. We're not out to screw anyone over and I certainly don't care about being "known".

My GT is roode78, my FL is probably full so please send me a message if you'd like to see the world. If you are interested in investing time, then I can make room on my FL.

Thanks guys, have a great day.

Oh, if you do view my world, please leave feedback here. Also, don't leave your gamer tag here. I will not chase you down, I will not message you, and I will not add you. I'm very much busy with other things.

Thanks

This may sound douchy, but I could use the rail achievement. I dont think I could contribute much to the world though. I play a lot with my wife and kids. Not really excited about creating a long ass rail system just for an achievement.

Mind if I ride it once?

I've been getting better with I know quite a bit of music theory. I can get the note blocks to play anything. Getting them to work with redstone has become a little bit of a challenge. I'm still learning about redstone and how to manipulate it. But, I'd be glad to help you out in your world. Expect a visit from me soon.

Well I guess I am kind of a weirdo, lol. But I personally think that the world needs to be more "complete" before it goes on youtube in my opinion.

Well that and the fact that if I am going to do things my way of recording, there needs to be around one to two people showing me around with good (loud) mics, and then I will comment on it in a hilarious way while we walk around and so on, and that equates a good video.

Now if you only care about the video footage with no sound whatsoever, I could do it that way as well (I already have some footage with audio from when that creepy stoner dude was there, so I could just mute the audio...), but that does mean that the video wouldn't be as entertaining to me at least, which makes me reluctant to put it on youtube since it wouldn't meet my own standards.....

PS: Whatever and whoever you decide to record, please make sure they have an HD PVR, because capture cards are just so very horrible quality for the most part, and most of them don't even go up to 1280 x 720 in resolution, so it really wouldn't do your world justice (even if it is just a boring montage of creations *nods off*)

I wouldn't mind playing, but I don't really do pixel art.

I'm more into making villages. My current village in my single player has 10 houses, 1 church and a forge and is extremily neat. I wouldn't mind starting one up on your world if it's a 24/7 game, but it depends if youf interested in having your own village.

EDIT: If you want me to prove that I'm not a griefer, I'll invite you into my world, so you can see what I'm capable of creating and what could be created in your world.

Add me: Xaviteck

I have a creative mind, and 8-bit graphics makes it all the easier.
