No, no we shouldn't, because the same question shouldn't be asked fifty times every day, though if people knew how to read and didn't want to have things spoon fed to them, that wouldn't happen.

Which does what? Gives them a slap on the wrist, then one the moderation goes away a week or two later, they do it again. Making repeated topics bannable gives them motivation not to do it at all, whereas a minor moderation however, does not.

Besides, do you really want people who refuse to use google and this sites very own search function to continue asking to be spoon fed information instead of looking for it themselves?

Not if they do it enough and they issue an IP ban, and judging from the intelligence (or lack of) of most of the posters here, i doubt any of them knows how to change their IP address.
