minecart problem

It seems like my minecart needs to be pushed before it can move,even when i power it up. What should i do?

Did you place the minecart on a Powered Rail which turns on via button?

Yep, tried with redstones. Still no improvement.

Try placing a block behind you, where you put your cart. I find this usually help me.

How odd...

Tried quitting Minecraft, and starting it back up again? I had a redstone problem a while ago that was fixed via a simple reset.

Well,i am taking a few hours rest.. I'll try again later, cant build anything on an empty stomach. And i'll try placing a block behind it too. Oh,i cant seem to place bricks either..
