No HDMI split screen

Hi, all the relevant posting were too old to allow me to post so bear with me please. If I have an older "HD" projection t.v. that has component hook ups but not HDMI I can use those and be able to play split screen, correct? Thanks for the help.

O.k. thanks. It's been played for months using an HDMI cable but I'm moving my console into a new "game room" I'm setting up where the t.v. is an older HD projection style that only has component hookups. I tried it the other day hooked up via composite cable because that's all I have as a spare and I just wanted to make sure before I spend the $ on some component cables that it will work. Funny thing is I've been chatting with Xbox support for 30 minutes now and have been going in circles and still don't have a clear answer so your answer is greatly appreciated!

You need an hdmi cable for split screen..
Well im pretty sure you do

O.k., not sure of the problem here. I'm hooked up with RGB cables, verified that it is now running at 480p but I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

O.k., someone on another board said it has to be hooked up via HDMI to use split screen so I guess I'm out of luck. Thanks for the help.
