As long as you can't hop into the trees like in Boardwalk. The amount of tree campers would kill all maps with more than 1 tree.

Weather effects and under the waterfall being restricted are because too many particle effects would drop framerate.

I'm sure the first XBOX720 Halo will have some weather effects in forge.

Things like rendering grass and weather can kill a poor console. They'd have to work pretty hard in balancing vegetation/ weather amounts to make sure certain maps don't have crippling slow down in them.

Just turn on grass in any game on a non-super PC and see what happens. : )

Then why not at least some time of day effect because id love to see some sunset or night time stages.

What if there was a way to take the Grid and grab corners/boxes on it and raise or lower them to create hills and valleys, and then a fill option that takes the transparent/blue line grid and fills it with either dirt or grass or snow or whatever?

Bump.

Anyways, I think I'm a little disappointed after reading the latest bulletin...

"It was mentioned in the Forge demo that there will be multiple Forge environments. Does this mean multiple Forge Worlds with a different setting and theme for each? If so, can we assume different styles of parts for each?"

"There will be some aesthetic variety we’ll talk about later – as well as the obvious inclusion of aesthetics and Forgeable objects from specific maps (Forerunner vs. UNSC objects, depending on the content of the environment), but most objects will be UNSC themed – although there’s more to come on that front later."

So most objects are UNSC themed... great...
