I'm jealous of everyone in this topic with someone.

23 years old and I've had no one. :(

I find it funny that you accused me of having a fake girlfriend, but in reality you're the one with no one . Karma's b*****

I never claimed to have one.

Then why say I have a fake one when you don't have one?

I've never gone to any midnight releases because I just never saw the point. And I would rather get a good night's sleep. I won't be going to this one either (I'll just grab the game after (or maybe before) lab the following morning).

Anyway, a few nights ago I was having a conversation with my girlfriend about this very subject. Went something like this:

Me: "So Halo 4 is coming out in a week and a half. Been thinking about going at midnight to get it."
Her: "You serious?"
Me: "Not really, but it'd be cool to check it out and see what kind of people go to these things. You interested?"
Her: "Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Never in a million years. I may love you and can tolerate your video game addiction and hell, even play some of these games with you, but that's where I got to draw the line. Sorry babe. You can hang out with your geeky peers by yourself."

I tried, haha.

My wife is the exact same she's happy for me to play but does not want to be with me when I socialise with 'gamers'.

I went to gamefest in Birmingham last year, I got 2 tickets thinking she would be interested, surprised her with them and she looked at me and went..... yeah im not going to that O-0

I literally had to take a random person lol

I'm pretty certain my right hand will still be attached, so yes.

Lol if you wasn't such a tool you would've been had one.
On topic my wife never likes going to midnight releases because she finds it pointless but I always take my daughter. We'll be going to the call of duty release for the 5th time in a row this year.

I brought my ex girlfriend to halo 3 and halo reach's midnight release with my buddies, was a great idea because she got us to the front of the line even though we got there at 11:45. Some nerds will do just about anything to stand behind a girl for 15 minutes.

Saying I'm one of the best is just rude. All the people who don't agree look stupid then, and I don't want to make everyone feel stupid. (GT)- GotMyProSocksOn

You don't have to be a nerd to prefer to stand behind a chick. I'd much rather stand behind some girl, then some sweaty dude.

So reading this thread, I got a bright idea and decided to ask my wife for her opinion on the matter. If it wasn't for the fact that we don't have anyone to watch our 3 year old, she would go with me (assuming my local Gamestop even does a midnight release). But she does raise an interesting point though.

How many of you gamers would agree to go see Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 if your girlfriend/wife asked you to? Something to think about next time you wanna rag on your significant other for not wanting to join you in your geeky hobby.

That's wierd TC cause the same thing happened to me. I was walking to my girl yesterday and this is how the convo went:

Girlfriend: so did you find anyone to go to the midnight release with you?
Me: no all my friends said their not going :/
Girlfriend: I know who will go with you?
Me: WHO? :D
Girlfriend: your girlfriend Me: O_O

So long story short, I'm going to the midnight release with her, thank God cause I wasn't trying to go by myself, that would be pretty weird.
