I mean from actual gameplay which is better? No stupid frame rate analysis from old gameplay vids to determine kill time, but real opinions from gameplay. Or is it too soon? --- SSBB FC:0946-1920-8546

I've heard DMR, but I want to judge for myself.

DMR is claimed much better, the DMR takes 5 shots to kill, the BR takes 4 bursts, which means 12 headshots to kill. --- PKMN Black FC: 5457 8816 4460 GT: The Yamminator

Hmm, this is only the 4th DMR vs BR topic I've seen today.
SAspringPosted 11/4/2012 5:20:39 PM
Thought the BR was 5 now, same as DMR, except the DMR has a higher firing rate.

to be honest the AR might catch people off guard if it actually kills quickly close range. nobody would expect it since it's been so mediocre in the past games. if a team had a dedicated stealthy AR guy who flanked and drained people shields instantly it might be useful.

It's up to preference. I forget where, but someone took the time to measure out the kill times for the DMR and BR, and they are both 1.8 seconds with headshots. So whichever gun you are more comfortable using.
If I remember correctly, the carbine was capable of killing in 1.3 seconds if the user has perfect accuracy.
I forgot about the light rifle's stats. I remember that unscoped it had a slower kill time than the DMR/BR but faster when scoped.

they're the same. do you like close-medium range burst fire or medium-long range single shot?
