No, you just haven't figured out how to use it yet

its actually not that bad when you play smart with it. it could use a couple more feet of boost but other then that i dont get what all the hate is about.

Using it to close in with close quarter weapons seems legit.Especially since no one is expecting it right now seeing how every one is not used to it being a part of the gameplay.

The only thing I've found it useful for is making jumps you couldn't make otherwise.

Obviosuly, make dash distance between three times longer to possibly only doubling it, maybe inbetween that.

i'm pretty sure that the left joystick does the exact same thing as thruster. perhaps its a little slower, but you can still run, shoot, crouch, grenade, jump, etc when you don't use the thruster. thruster is simply outclassed by the left control stick in almost every way.
