If you're nice enough to worry about hurting your feelings like that, I bet she's nice enough to understand.

She probably doesn't consider herself an expert on games, and I doubt she's personally invested in Resident Evil, the way she would be if she'd shopped for hours to pick out a special sweater for you or something, you know?

+1 for being a decent human being, TC.
Understand this: Game reviews are written by people who think being a "video game journalist" is possible.

Tell her what an awesome mom she is for buying you a better game.

RE 6 is a good game. Play it, trade it, score Halo 4 later on.

You do what I did when my parents got me a ****ing chair two weeks ago. Look down at it, look up, look back down at it and ask "Thank you?" in a tone of complete and utter confusion.
In fearful day, in raging night, with strong hearts full, our souls ignite! When all seems lost in the War of Light, look to the stars, for hope burns bright!

My mom is heavily invested in Wizard 101 and Pirate 101. She's a level 80 on one character, and anywhere between 40-70 on like 5 others. I have one character who is level 58... I think.

I'd say she's about as close to a gamer as they come.

You're 17 and you can't just buy a game?
