Why do you care about K/D ratio it doesn't make you better

Because I'm a competitive person and K/D and similar stats allow me to compete with myself in a way. I don't really go out of my way to keep a high K/D but I do take a little pride in the stat. Also, you cant really deny that its important in team slayer.

I don't get why everyone has to rush in and try to get as many kills as possible. I always seem to end up left behind while everyone else is busy running towards the enemy team. Instead I get lots of assists for helping team mates who are in trouble. Doesn't give me a high score but it makes me feel good knowing I backed them up.

KDR in a given match is important, however, your overall KDR on your stats page is next to worthless since it includes all gametypes, including flood, and also you can get lucky and get that match against two guests and go 50-0

someone can easily obtain a 4.0 KDR on xbox live but be terrible when placed against players with some actual skill in a competitive setting

Nope. Not true of any Halo game.

wins is where its at you can have a 15.0 k/d but only won 10 out of 150 matches that makes you a bad player

Lol, what? No offense, but that is one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard. It means your team is bad. No one will ever tell you that Prince Fielder was bad because he was on the Brewers. Prince Fielder was a great 1B stuck on a bad team.

Anyway, k/d is important in most competitive shooters, anyone who tells you different either has a bad k/d or isn't competitive. Nobody actively goes out to die without getting kills, so if you have a bad k/d, it's probably cause you're bad.

My K/D isn't the greatest, but my team usually wins. I always get a lot of distraction/Assist points :)

K/D would show a player is good in slayer. It becomes pointless when they can just camp in ctf or koth.

Read the rest of it moron, instead of selecting one part to make me look bad.

Protip: Don't post nonsense and you won't look bad.
