Are Halo players not as cool as Call of Duty players?

I'm asking because it seems people involved in the "clubbin" scene who are into cool things like rap music, clubs, smoking, and tattoos are more likely to be Call of Duty players.

I'm 29 so I don't hang around college people but when I was having a beer after work one day some college kids came and started talking about video games, when I mentioned Halo 4 one of them said...

"DAAYYYUUUUMMM Dawg! I be playin me some Black Ops II cuz dat game be MAD tYt3 YO!"

It seems like cool people don't care about Halo 4 which upsets me because back when I was in college, it was in fact Halo that was the cool game and nobody cared about Call of Duty.

The people who don't care about this are the cool ones.

As a jock myself I can tell you that jocks DO in fact play Halo, but it's mostly older jocks between the ages of 25-40 years old.

Back in my day if you were to mention Call of Duty the reaction would be

"That boring WWII game, LOL! Lets play some Halo."

It just saddens me how now Call of Duty is the game for mAd TyT3 people whereas Halo is for old has beens.

You just ran into CoD players is all.

And I'm not trying to sound like a control-freak or anything of the sort but if you would please close this topic before it starts yet another HALO vs. CoD debate/argument that has literally been done more times than the total population of the Earth 100 times over. I'm sure the actual number isn't that I'm just sayin' it's been done to death.

Are you defining cool people as people that participate and emulate what the majority of their peers do?

I don't know, your sister thinks I'm pretty damn cool for playing both.

Have you ever had a turkeyburger? Is that a fried turkey leg wrapped inside a burger? Because if so, then yes. Delicious.

I can tell what the deal is for most people. I say most, not all:

You also have to define what cool is.

I am 45 years old and I have friends between the ages of 40 and 50 who say I am cool. I have friends who are in their 60s and think I am not cool andstill have so much to learn about how the world works. They are probably right. I play Halo.

My son who is 10 and has many friends - I mean real friends in the flesh, not XBOX live friends - I think they feel I am no longer cool at this point. They ALL play COD.
