Halo 4

Do you think that the Halo series needs a new protagonist?

I mean Master Chief is awesome and will always be that but I think the whole him being lucky thing is getting kinda absurd. I mean he's drifting out in space and he just happens to be found again even if it is planned. But I feel like they need a fresh new main character for the next 2 games. Maybe bring Noble 6 back somehow? Anyone else feel this way?

No. The role of MC has always been good IMO, but it is just starting to get better and more interesting.

I loved Noble 6, because I could play campaign looking like whatever I wanted.

If the new guy earns his stripes I'm good with it. Such as having us play as the new protagonist through some extremely memorable events in the next or last game in this new trilogy, à la, Raiden in MGS II and easing in his badassness over time even through fanboy rage (including mine) like Kojima did with Raiden in MGS 4.

There will never be another Chief though, and I doubt MS would allow 343 to do away with MC for too long.

Doesn't matter. The mods will mod you and punish you severely for revealing spoilers from any movie, game, book, etc. no matter what board you're on or how long ago the game came out.

Its a massive spoiler.

But I never said anything about him not surviving.

I am talking to you from this account because I was temporarily banned for saying that Halopedia says Noble 6 could be alive.
The moderators said that any spoiler from any game at any time is a serious offense.

I argued that by that logic, simply suggesting Master Chief is in Halo 4 is also a spoiler for Halo CE, 2, and 3 because it tells you that he survives. But their response was literally, "People expect the protagonist to live so that's not a spoiler".
