What is the deal w/ the specializations? I don't entirely get the point of them. I see two different "outfits" after I'm "done" (whatever that means) with this first one I'm on. I'm only level 11, just beat the game today and I like to do story before I go online.
The last Halo I played was 3; I skipped ODST and Reach, so is this something from those games? Unfortunately they decided an instruction manual shouldn't come with the game so simple things like this, that are usually in there for information purposes, are unknown to me.
So far I see more armor choices as Ievel up/start on the path of "commendations" that I'll unlock when I either hit the level or do the tasks in commendation. However, the "specializations" aren't explained on the screen. It just says to finish your current specialization to unlock the next. Heck, I didn't even see all the ones you listed on the poll. All I see are, if I'm remembering right since I don't have it on right now, Wetworks and Operator. How do you unlock the rest?
Sorry for coming off so noob, but honestly I am a newb w/ the new system. I'm still not entirely adjusted to the CoD/Halo hybrid controls now that they've added sprinting, made my duck button into the sprint button, put my melee on the shoulder instead of B and turned my "swap grenades" into armor ... item, thing. They've really fiddled with the controls. Takes some real getting used to coming in from Halo 3. --- Lali-ho!
Holy crap what's with everyone going rogue? I really hope it's just for the perk which I don't is going to be that useful. Your either a good or bad shot with or without the perk. I personally never have a prob with the flinch.
Specialisations are new to Halo 4. The reason why you aren't seeing the others is that 343 decided that only people who brought the LE would get access to them right away while anyone else who played online before the 20th would get an email to unlock the others (those who didn't will probably have to pay to unlock them).
Basically, when you reach level 50 you can pick a specialisation which will let you level up further and let you unlock armour and a special perk (which goes into the support or tactical spot of your loadout) once you reach level 10 for that specialisation.
Once you go 10 levels with a specialisation you can choose another one right away.
Probably gonna main Pathfinder with a mix of Operator. You got DMR? Good for you, I am Heavy weapons guy and this is my weapon *points unmounted UNSC turret at opposition* ... Okay sorry I couldn't resist. --- "Blame your fate!" - Kratos Aurion
