Halo sucks because of CoD (for most people)

The truth is Cod has made it hard for Halo to get rollin again. Not just because of CoD massive popularity, but because Halo is now a much more "skill" based game than CoD. Any person who has played CoD can sum it up in a few ways. But basically, you run around until you see someone then whoever shoots first (or has the better connection) wins OR you find a spot to hide and shoot anyone that moves, only slightly changing your hiding spot every now and then. Halo was once a simple game, but since CoD is much simpler, Halo now seems like to much of a chore to actually aim at someone's head, strafe to avoid shots fired, crouch to avoid radar, crouch jumping for shortcuts, taking cover to regen shields and actually go in for the kill in most situations instead of hiding until you camped out a kill streak. So yea, I want to say for most CoD fans and of course PS3 fanboys, Halo does suck.

I don't find either CoD's near instant kills or Halo's hitscan to require more skill. The only thing Halo has going for it is a marginally longer time to kill and the ability to attempt to evade fire. But, again, hitscan.

Halo does indeed require more work meaning you get that satisfaction of getting the kill delayed. Cod is so quick and you will get a rush so fast from stacking up lots of kills.

Halo is slower paced but not a slow game, yet it does require much more attention to stay alive and to get a kill more often than CoD does.

All in all I feel the simplicity of CoD kill/respawn mechanics vs Halo is what makes CoD subjectively the more enjoyable experience.

You do know that one a few of the weapons are hitscan, right? BR is, DMR isn't.

You do know that there's no reason to choose the BR over the DMR in ranges where hitscan matters, and that the DMR performs well enough in ranges where the BR performs well, right?

At any rate, my point is about shooting mechanics, and the presence of a hitscan long range weapon negates any argument that we might have for shooting mechanics taking skill. The game itself has skill built into its mechanics, but it's not because of hitscan's ability to hit whatever your reticule is over.

Irrelevant, you implied that all the weapons were hitscan. I said they're not and used BR/DMR as an example =)

What you think you read and what I actually typed are two different things, and I've got better things to do than talk any more to a known board troll. Later.
