been going through a lag spell and it's annoying as hell

why should my DNF% go up if I am playing a game where I am literally 1 second behind what is happening? That's not fun. That's a bunch of random guesswork and dying. Of course I'm going to quit.

Hmm, I didn't even know that they held that statistic...... Oh well it won't stop me from quitting. If I lag, I quit - it's as simple as that!

Figure out how they could tell for sure, without any kind of doubt ,when people left because of lag. Then come back.

can't they collect your network statistics or use some metrics like ping or something? I mean if you can see it yourself they must be able to somehow

what I'm saying is if they are able to look at your network statistics and see you had a really crappy connection to the host, which indicates lag, they could throw that game out and not have it count against your DNF%

They would have to put a whole lot of coding to add that to the already finished matchmaking system for very little reward. The amount of people who lag out of games is the vast minority.
