Faust_8Posted 12/6/2012 11:24:34 PM | While some think the DMR is better, it can be argued that the Battle Rifle is more suited to mid-range combat than the DMR is. It's not strictly hit-or-miss like the DMR, plus the BR can punch through weakened shields and kill whereas the DMR would need a shot to drain the shield and a second shot to kill.
The BR is not an outclassed weapon or anything, so why does it seem weird that people use it? And if you saw nothing but DMRs would that surprise you as well?

jakeDiLLaPosted 12/6/2012 11:32:02 PM | ^what he said. I find BR easier to use at mid range. DMR better for long rang. I don't win to many battles with DMR at close range either, but BR is decent in those situations if you aim for the head.

metalclashPosted 12/7/2012 12:00:10 AM | BR is barely better mid range than the DMR. I use it for both Halo 3 nostalgia, and that it's easier to use close range due to less zoom. After a certain distance which is pretty short, the DMR destroys the BR. I also hate DMR users who sit back miles away and "DMR Snipe" So i use the BR to keep it close range.
