Why don't the poeple that don't like the game...

and claim the majority don't either just make a poll? This way they will actually have evidence instead of running around saying their calims are true?

If the sample size is too small or you collect the data in a bad time frame/location you'll get incorrect data. For true evidence you'd have to validate the hypothesis over different settings, time and place.

Example: If we do a poll now, it would probably turn out that most people don't mind H4, because it's been a while since the release, a portion those that don't like it have stopped playing while what remains is a bigger proportion that have accepted the game for what it is.

Saturday night this game had less than 80k players online. What happened to the 600k figure a few days after launch? Why did the previous games have more people playing at this moment? Oh wait... could it be? This game is bad. The majority has spoken already. Pay attention.

About the pop. stats it's been proven over and over why does aren't a good representaion, I went on CoD the other week and it's pop was only 250k while halo's was 160k (this was around nov 30th). And we all know that millions more ppl bought cod on xbox than h4, yet it is only bringing out a couple hundred thousand ppl online. Does that mean the majority hate the game?? no it does not.

tl;dr pop statistics aren't a good basis to know if majority likes the game or not.

No, because when Halo 3 was in it's prime it was the FPS/the only game worth playing online pretty much. Nowadays, theres CoD, Battlefield, Assassins Creed, and all the other single player games that have come out in the past month.

The majority spoke with their money, Halo 4 sold like hotcakes and is a fantastic game.

Your mistake is thinking a poll would prove anything.

It would prove more than screaming out that the majority hate the game when it's only you and a couple of you're friends.

Where can you find these stats?

Convenient how the population stats were not broken when this game launched but now that the figure has dropped suddenly it's broken. Please provide a link to the article that covers this because I have yet to hear about this. The only game that "supposedly" had an issue with bad population representation was Gears 3. That ended up being a complete farce.

Now to the guy that made the statement about other games competing with H4. This is irrelevant. Previous games had to deal with competition yet the online figures never dropped this low. Even Reach was doing better. This game simply can't compete. It is a failed product in that regard.
