Halo 3: Point gun and shoot.

Halo 4: Point gun and shoot.

They're equal.

In halo 3, you know you were just out classed when you got owned real bad by a good team. On halo 4 it seems to be down to chance thanks to ordinance drops and load outs.

Put it this way: I haven't had that game where you just know that the other team were amazing and levels above you yet. You know what I'm talking about if you played halo 3.

Agreed. There's a real disparity of skill in Halo 2/3. I don't really feel that in 4.

id say they're still the same. Halo 4 might still take slightly and i mean VERY slightly less skill due to ordinance but either way its still about the same

C due to ranked playlists. What does that have to do with gameplay, you ask? Nothing, but advancing in rank/level took more skill than earning exp.

D. As far as FPS games go, the Halo series has always been extremely far to the "Mass Appeal / Noob friendly" end of the spectrum, like the Call of Duty series starting with modern warfare. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's one of the biggest reasons for its success. Loves me some Halo multiplayer.
