Halo 4

One of the best things about Reach was the variety and creativity provided by the many custom maps in matchmaking. Are there plans to include custom maps in Halo 4 matchmaking at some point?

I never really played Reach and 3 before, but i'm interested to how that worked before. Did Bungee make Forge maps for matchmaking? Or did they pick popular ones made by players? And were they free?

Probably won't be until after the map packs are out and they have made their money.

Actually, the Forge Maps are coming in Early 2013, probably with the big TU. It's been confirmed by 343. They're working on getting popular 4v4 maps first and then they'll try to implement 2v2 maps because H4 doesn't have a lot of maps suitable for Doubles (Haven and Abandon are the only ones).

after the initial release they obviously only had bungie made forge maps in matchmaking. but as the community began forging and complaining about bungie's hot garbage maps, they added community maps. which people eventually got tired of because every map was bland forerunner gray.
