Is there health in this game?

I know when you lose your shields you're down to your "health", but how exactly does that work?

If you get buckshot from a distance, still survive. Go on and on and on... will they die in one shot to the foot later?

After your shields drop it take 3 more hits on the body or 1 head shot or 1 melee to kill you, if you get shot say twice in the body then run off and survive, your health goes back to normal when your shields recharge

I hope that answers your question

But did halo 3 have the invisible health that acted like what the OP described?

Health is mostly a hidden stat. You can take a little more damage once your shields go down - not much, but enough that if you can.get out of combat long enough for your shields to regenerate, your health will regenerate with it.

Basically, health packs aren't used in this game, health is regenerative over time.
